PR Rolls is strengthening its foothold in South Korea

“South Korea is an attractive market for PR Rolls due to its high volume of paper production. That is why we are starting closer cooperation with GSPT Ltd, a South Korean manufacturer of paper machines,” says PR Rolls’ CEO Jani Westerlund.

In addition, the South Korean paper manufacturer Hansol Paper recently entered into a contract with PR Rolls on the renovation of the drying cylinders of its paper machine, which is located in Gunsan.

“We have supplied Hansol Paper with similar services before, and they were so impressed with our work that they placed a new order. We perform the grinding and coating of drying cylinders as an on-site service, which makes the maintenance time considerably shorter than if the cylinders were removed from the machine. We send the materials needed from Finland and acquire any supplementary apparatuses and hire supporting staff at the location.”

In this work, PR Rolls utilises the special coatings it has developed together with Finnish universities and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Thanks to PR Rolls’ innovative coating technology and skilled employees, paper mills all over the world can make considerable savings in both costs and investments.
