Success story.

Paper mill: Naberezhnyv Chelny
On-site repairing and a long lasting non-stick coating of three dryers.
On-site maintenance work started on January 2010. PR Rolls sent a local service team of 12 peoples to the Naberezhnyv Chelny mill.

Background (reason)

The dryer’s surfaces had a very wave geometric with wide, deep grooves and diameter difference up to 10 mm.

Tailor-made and a cost-effective solution.

Measuring and control of the whole drying section with same drive and repair planning to fulfill the requirements of the section.

Pre-machining and build up the worn out areas (10mm) and complete recoating of one cylinder.

TecnoClean coating of the two partly repaired cylinders, to get 100 % perfect release and drying properties.

Repairing and coating during a very short shutdown in 5 days as follows:

- All dismounting needed for the work
- Mounting of all machining and coating units
- Pretreatment
- ARC spraying material of ~1000kg, for three cylinders.
- Machining and grinding to tolerance
- HVOF coating
- Teflonizing and curing the cylinders
- Finishing of the work
- Assembly of the papermachine

Total working time in 120 hours!

Done by a PR Rolls team of 12 persons and with an excellent support from the mill.
